RX8200 Advanced Modular Receiver

TT1222 MPEG-2 SD Integrated Receiver Decoder

Equipped with QPSK or ASI interface, the TT1222 delivers broadcast quality video, ideal for regional cable headends. The receiver is capable of descrambling one service and delivering high quality video as composite or SDI.
An ASI output is available, helping the migration from analog to digital networks. The TT1222 can be used as a satellite receiver or for the monitoring of content delivery. As the receiver supports a wide range of scrambling systems, it is well suited to operate in a large number of different satellite distribution systems. The TT1222 can be utilized in a Director network management control system that enables the operator to control demodulation and decoding parameters over-air.

E5710 MPEG-2 SD Encoder

E5740 MPEG-2 SD Encoder

The E5740 is a smart choice for broadcasters seeking increased efficiencies in operations to stay competitive. With multiple HD upgrade options to quickly add either MPEG-2 HD or MPEG-4 SD/HD, the E5740 offers impressive and unpresidented upgradeability. A DVB-S2 capable modulator comes as standard enabling customers to benefit from the 35% increase in transmission efficiency that this typically provides over DVB-S. Other performance and feature enhancing upgrades are also available including a powerful MPEG multiplexing card (REMUX) to add MCPC capability and a data card that works with an internal IRD option to provide bi-directional support for IP data and telephony. The E5740 achieves all of this performance whilst remaining exceptionally easy-to-use and with multiple control options.

E5784 / E5788 Voyager MPEG-2 HD DSNG

The E5784 and E5788 are both premium quality MPEG-2 HD DSNG encoders that can be used in a variety of HD applications from news gathering to covering world-class sporting events. The major difference between these models is MPEG-2 HD 4:2:2 encoding, which is standard on the E5788 but optional on the E5784. Both models are otherwise identical and feature the latest DVB-S2 capable L-band or IF satellite modulator card as standard.
A range of option cards is also available, including Remux, which adds the power of an MPEG multiplexer to the box.

EN8040 Voyager MPEG-4 AVC HD DSNG

The EN8040 is Ericsson’s second-generation MPEG-4 AVC SD/HD DSNG encoder. Building upon the success of the award-winning EN5940, the EN8040 provides a multi-format encoding platform combined with an advanced satellite modulator. This combination provides the ultimate picture quality at the lowest bit-rates and transponder bandwidth and with new improved low latency modes. Backed up by the Ericsson Television Voyager Advance Loan scheme, the EN8040 is the ultimate companion for contribution & distribution and DSNG wherever you are in the world.
For flexibility, the EN8040 can offer MPEG-2 SD, MPEG-4 AVC SD and MPEG-4 AVC HD video encoding in the same box. The MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC encoders can be used simultaneously and support low latency modes for delay critical applications. BISS, RAS and DVB-S2 QPSK/8PSK/16APSK are simple license key enabled options. Additional hardware options include a COFDM modulator, a dual Gigabit Ethernet card with SMPTE-2022 support and an Advanced Audio Option card. New for 2009 is a REMUX card accepting up to three external SCPC or MCPC transport streams. Most customers can upgrade their existing DSNG equipment (either E574x or E578x products) to EN8040.
